Cimatu appoints new chiefs in DENR Central Luzon
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Central Luzon now have two new frontrunners in its Enforcement Division (ED) and Planning and Management Division (PMD).
Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu officially named Cynde Pagador chief of the ED, replacing Atty. Armando Preclaro, who led the ED for more than two years alongside his duties as the chief of the Legal Division. She has been with the DENR for 32 years, and has led the Manila Bay Site Management and Coordinating Office.
Meanwhile, Judelyn Francisco – former chief of the National Greening Program (NGP) in Region 3 and officer-in-charge of the PMD for 22 months – is the new head of the PMD.
Both took their oath before Secretary Cimatu on October 27 and formally assumed their post on October 28.
In addition to this, more than 80 employees from the DENR regional and field offices were promoted and vowed to perform their sworn duties as frontliners in protecting the environment during the oath taking ceremony administered by Regional Executive Director Paquito Moreno, Jr.
He commended the newly-promoted personnel for their commitment to public service, and challenged them to bring good environmental governance.
