LausGroup showcases Kapampangan culture via ‘HeART of Central Luzon’
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – An art initiative showcasing the vibrant Kapampangan culture and craftsmanship dubbed “HeART of Central Luzon” was launched by the LausGroup of Companies (LGC), kicking off the first of LGC’s holiday festivities for 2021.
Featuring some of the region’s award-winning and up-and-coming local artists, the pop-up exhibits in different LausGroup car and motorcycle dealerships across Pampanga is part of its efforts to support local artisans and provide a venue for them to display their unique artworks, also connecting the artists to LGC’s high-profile clientele.
The “HeART of Central Luzon” exhibit will run from October 1 until December 5, 2021.
Among the artists featured in the first leg of the “HeART of Central Luzon” include Impressionist painter Ramil Tumampos, copper Bonsai artist Fernando “Andy” Bondoc, visual artist and architect Marinel Timoteo Tungol, Transparent Cubist painter Eliseo Perreras, Jr., multi-awarded abstract painter Jojoy Zabala, award-winning artist Edgar Nucum, acrylic painter Ramcos Nulud, and abstract artist Francis Eliezer Garzon.
Meanwhile, the second leg of the HeART of Central Luzon features a new batch of artists such as acrylic artist Einstein David, traditional artist Joseph Stacy Keach, Modern Contemporary artist Richard Sy, mixed media artist and sculptor Arnel David Garcia, Hyperrealist painter Edu Perrera, multi-awarded artist Alvin Dungca, and Figurative Impressionist artist Andy Ramos.
Apart from the pop-up art displays, those dining in at restaurants in the LausGroup Complex will also be entertained with live music every weekend with homegrown singers to serenade the patrons of the restaurants while still maintaining health and safety protocols.
During the inauguration of the art showcase, LGC CEO Lisset Laus-Velasco said, “The art scene is able to thrive during this time. The LausGroup wishes to honor the artist who may have been affected by the pandemic— and through this project we’ll be able to showcase the works of the talented artists and craftsmen of Central Luzon.”
Echoing Laus-Velasco, LGC President Paul Laus shared, “During these trying times, it’s refreshing to see your work inspire all of us, especially the LausGroup and the whole community.”
Interested art patrons and enthusiasts are welcome to visit select LausGroup car and motorcycle dealerships across Pampanga to see the various artworks in person, under limited capacity in compliance with local health and safety protocols.
