Prime Waste Solutions supports environmental initiatives in host communities
Prime Waste Solutions (PWS) continues to support environmental stewardship across its host communities through initiatives that promote conservation, responsible waste management, and sustainability.
PWS joined the annual International Coastal Cleanup on September 19, helping clear 3,264 kilograms of waste from coastal areas within its host communities, removing marine debris and raising awareness onplastic pollution.
PWS employees from Porac volunteered to participate in the cleanup in Bataan. The company also supported cleanup efforts in Barangay Bacayan, Cebu through waste hauling and transport.
Earlier in the month, nearly 100 volunteers composed of employees, residents, students, and other community stakeholders planted 1,400 seedlings at the PWS-Pampanga project site in Barangay Planas, Porac, Pampanga on September 15.
The activity involved the planting of 700 Ylang-Ylang and 700 Narra seedlings under the Prime Kalikasan tree-planting program, which supports reforestation efforts within development areas and surrounding communities.
PWS operates an integrated waste management facility in Porac that currently receives and manages more than 2,000 tons of waste per day. The facility uses a semi-automated process using high-tech equipment that segregates waste to recover recyclables that can be used for waste value creation activities, including production of refuse derived fuel (RDF).
