CDC Public Safety swiftly responds to vehicular, fire incident

CLARK FREEPORT—A vehicular incident leading to fire at Shell Northwalk Clark here was promptly responded by the Public Safety Division of Clark Development Corporation (CDC-PSD) on early morning of October 31.

Initially, a fireman-on-duty noticed a car parked in the vicinity of the CDC Fire Station along C.M. Recto Highway. After approaching the subject, the fireman-on-duty saw a naked male foreign national inside the vehicle.

The fireman-on-duty reported the incident to the CDC-PSD Command Center to monitor and roving security guards encountered the vehicle near Hann Casino Resort. The security guard on motorcycle was hit by the vehicle and a car chase ensued that ended at the said gasoline station. When cornered, the driver bumped a gas pump and tried to escape the scene before being apprehended by the responding authority.

The CDC Fire and Rescue Unit promptly responded to the scene within four (4)  minutes, effectively containing the fire within 15 minutes. The fire was isolated to one gas pump and did not spread in the adjoining facilities in Shell.

The culprit was identified as a 41-year old male of Korean nationality who was brought to a local hospital for first aid and later on transported to a regional medical facility for treatment of burns.

CDC-PSD coordinated the incident with the Mabalacat City Police for the filing of charges.
