Marilao mayor killed in Clark accident
CLARK FREEPORT – The mayor of Marilao, Bulacan died on Sunday after figuring in a vehicular accident along Prince Balagtas Avenue in this Freeport on Sunday.
Police identified the fatality as Marilao Mayor Ricardo Silvestre, who was taken to The Medical City by responding medics where he died.
He was with his secretary Karen Bonifacio and PSSg Rodel Gojo Cruz Alcantara, 48, of No. 1819 Catmon, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, who drove the vehicle.
According to initial investigation, the vehicle swerved to the left and hit a street lamp.
Bonifacio was taken to the Angeles University Foundation hospital for immediate treatment while Alcantara, who sustained serious injuries, was transferred to a hospital in Bulacan
