A sight to behold: Twins on a float in Kambal Festival parade
ANGELES CITY — It is not just a twin fiesta celebration for Angeles City, but also a parade of 22 sets of twins riding in a grand creative float during the Kambal Festival on Oct. 8, 2022.
Mayor Lazatin personally led the parade, riding on a float made of indigenous and recyclable materials designed by the City Engineer’s Office led by Engr. Donato Dizon and the One United LGBTQ+.
Lazatin was with Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and members of the Environmental Management System-CEO on the float during the parade.
Mayor Lazatin said he is very happy and grateful to finally host face-to-face activities for the Fiestang Kuliat 2022, after being stagnant for two years due to the pandemic.
“I am very happy today na nakaharap ko po kayo for this Kambal Festival. After two years, mikit-ikit tamu ngan pu pasibayu to properly celebrate Angeles City’s Twin Fiesta,” Lazatin furthered.
“These events and festivities are testaments of the resiliency of Angeleños,” Lazatin added.
The 22 sets of twins are from 18 barangays including Agapito Del Rosario, Cuayan, Cutud, Cutcut, Lourdes Northwest, Lourdes Sur East, Malabanias, Pandan, Pampang, Pulung Maragul, Pulungbulu, San Nicolas, San Jose, Sapalibutad, Sta. Teresita, Sta. Trinidad, Sto. Rosario, and Tabun.
The said parade started from the crossing up to the Heritage District, supervised by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and the Working Committee composed of Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Angeles City Economic Development Investment and Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego, Information Communication and Technology Division Chief Michael Lising, Angeles City Traffic Development Officer Francis Pangilinan, and CEO.
Lazatin also thanked the Beautéderm Corporation led by Rei Anicoche-Tan for being a partner to the city’s celebration of Kambal Festival.
