Betis artist makes it to Makati art scene

A painter from Betis in Guagua town will be exhibiting his artworks along with three other Manila-based artists at the Fashion Interiors Art Gallery in Makati on Oct. 8, 2022.

Acrylic artist Ramcos Catahan Nulud, who started his career as a comics illustrator in 1999, broke into the art scene 2017. Since then, he held solo exhibits in 2018, 2019 and 2022.

He had also participated in various group exhibits in Manila and Pampanga, latest of which were “The Heart of Central Luzon: Art Exhibit” hosted by the Laus Group of Companies in 2021, and the “Kalalangan Katimauan” (Art for Peace and Freedom), which opened at the MarQuee Mall in Angeles City on Sept. 5, 2022.

According to Nulud, the exhibit, titled “Difference”, will also feature three of his friends from the world of art — Badz Palacio, a sculptor; Lei Manto, who features puzzle pieces in his paintings; and Honesto Guiruela III, a mixed media visual artist who creates miniature houses.

“We want to showcase through this exhibit different kinds of art, using different styles or medium,” Nulud, who is also a musician, said.

The exhibit will run at the Fashion Interiors by Paul Cornelissen, 2307 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City until November.
