DPWH completes slope protection structures in Guagua
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the slope protection structures along Sapang Uyong in Guagua, Pampanga.
District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. said the P29.3-million revetment structure has a total length of 288 linear meters long on the right side and 275 linear meters on the left side of the creek.
The project was funded under the 2021 General Appropriations Act.
“This is expected to provide flood protection for residents of the agriculture-based community of barangay Rizal in Guagua,” he explained.
The newly-built structure was designed to prevent creek overflow that can cause flooding in the area.
