PSA opens online appointment system in Central Luzon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) launched its online appointment system for Central Luzon clients requesting for copies of civil registry documents and certification.

PSA Regional Information Officer John Rey Duay IV emphasized that the Civil Registration Service will no longer accept walk-in clients in their regional outlet, except for emergency cases, in securing birth, marriage, and death certificates, authentications, and certificates of no marriage.

“Because the province of Pampanga where the office is located is now on Alert Level 3, we are limiting our transactions to only 400 clients a day. We are open from Mondays through Fridays at 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The outlet is sometimes temporarily closed for immediate disinfection, but rest assured the services will resume the soonest possible time,” he said.

The online booking scheme is also designed to regulate the number of people visiting the outlets, and automate appointments amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this, PSA is urging the public to visit the website at appointment.psa.gov.ph and click the CRS appointment system button to access the online appointment system.

Clients will be asked to supply their personal data such as name, mobile number, and email address where the confirmation of the booking will be sent.

The agency also advises the users to download and fill out the Application Form and the Health Declaration Form ahead of time and bring them to the outlet during their schedule.

Also, Duay shared that requesters who are unable to visit the outlet during their given appointment schedule need to book for another slot as it is on a first come, first served basis.

“Our clients are free to choose the date and time that is convenient for them,” he added.

For civil registry documents request, PSA reminded that minors are not allowed to book for appointments; and an authorized representative is only allowed to request for two unrelated individuals to prevent fixers.

The agency also reminded those who will visit the outlet to strictly observe the minimum public health standards against COVID-19 such as wearing of face masks, and proper physical distancing.
