AC deploys 2 ronda buses for booster inoculation

BOOSTER VIA RONDA. The Angeles city government deployed two ronda buses beginning January 17, 2022 to give booster shots to Angeleños who have been fully vaccinated on or before October 31, 2021.

ANGELES CITY – Two buses have been deployed by the city government here to give booster shots to Angeleños who have been fully vaccinated on or before October 31, 2021.

The deployment of the buses started January 17, 2022 to bring the vaccines closer to the people thru the Ronda Bakuna sa Barangay, ramping up the efforts to fasttrack the delivery of booster shots to avoid the newest Covid-19 Omicron variant.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said the deployment will be done via schedule to ensure observance of safety health protocols.

According to Lazatin, the city has decided to deliver booster inoculation thru Ronda Bakuna to ensure the safety, health, and welfare of his kababayans as well as the employees at the City Hall.

“Tayo pa rin po ang bababa sa bawat barangay upang ihatid ang bakuna para patuloy po nating maproteksyunan ang ating mga kababayan laban sa banta ng virus,” Lazatin mentioned.

“Magsisimula po muna tayo sa maliliit na barangays. Sa Lunes po, naka-deploy ang mga ronda buses sa Virgen Delos Remedios,” Lazatin said.

Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas also said residents should present their vaccination cards, and prescriptions of medicines if there are any.

“Yung pong mga fully vaccinated na ng October 17, 2021 ang babakunahan natin para booster. After po ng nakatakdang date na ito, iikot po ulit ang mga ronda bus natin,” Calaguas shared.

According to City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra it is important that before inoculation, residents have taken a proper meal. Meanwhile, those who are under health maintenance should take their medicines first before vaccination.

Aside from this initiative, the vaccination site at the City College of Angeles is still operational.

To date, a total of 5,573 Angeleños already received their booster shots; 347,996 have been fully vaccinated, while 308,990 got their first dose of vaccines.
