DPWH completes school building in Anao, Tarlac
TARLAC CITY – A four-storey, 16-classroom school building at Anao National High School has been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office.
“The newly constructed building augments the school’s existing facilities and is ready to accommodate returning students in case limited face-to-face classes can resume in the province,” District Engineer Neil Farala said.
DPWH fast-tracked the implementation of this project due to the school’s apparent need of additional facilities with proper ventilation.
“Good ventilation is important and is a cost-free way to reduce the spread of the coronavirus within school classrooms,” Farala added.
The P10.27-million school building was funded under the Department of Education Basic Education Facilities Fund as part of the 2021 General Appropriations Act.
It was completed ahead of schedule.
