Social Welfare officer thank Lazatin for Christmas and New Year treats
ANGELES CITY — City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso expressed her gratitude to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. for giving a ₱20,000 personal donation for the celebration of Christmas and New Year of individuals housed at the two custody centers and Bale Pusu home for the elderly. “This is first time po. May pang-noche buena at media noche sila. Kahit na nasa loob sila, mararamdaman din nila yung holiday season na hindi lang basta magdadaan,” Duaso shared. “Maraming salamat po, Mayor Pogi,” Duaso added. In addition, Clark International Airport Corporation Vice President for Operations IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel have also sent ₱10,000. Duaso said that a total of 30 individuals are housed today at the custody centers of Bahay Pag-Asa and Home for the Girls, and Bale Pusu home for the homeless elderly. Aside from the personal financial donations, all 30 individuals also received Christmas gifts from Mayor Lazatin. “Patunay lamang po na lahat ng sektor, kahit po yung minsang napariwara at yung mga inabandona na at narescue lamang natin sa lansangan, ay nabibigyan po ng pansin, malasakit, at pagmamahal ng administrasyong Lazatin,” Duaso reiterated. “Maraming maraming salamat po,” she said. It can be recalled that part of the flagship programs of Mayor Lazatin is to look out for the welfare of Children in Conflict with the Law, as well as of the elderly who need a home. It was Mayor Lazatin who also established Bale Pusu, a city-run home for the homeless elderly.
