CebPac passengers 1st to fly out of CRK Terminal 2
CLARK FREEPORT – Passengers on board Cebu Pacific flight 5J 607 bound for Cebu were the first commercial fliers to use the newly built Clark International Airport Terminal 2 on Dec. 14.
“It is our honor to be the first airline to use this new terminal for a commercial flight and welcome every opportunity to work with industry stakeholders in making our customer’s journey as easy as possible. This is very timely as we all prepare for the aviation industry to bounce back,” said Michael Ivan Shau, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Cebu Pacific.
CEB has maintained its presence in North Luzon for 15 years to date, beginning with its maiden Clark-Cebu route in 2006.
Pre-pandemic, CEB was the largest Philippine carrier operating the most domestic and international routes out of Clark. At the end of 2019, it was serving direct flights to seven (7) domestic destinations namely Bacolod, Bohol, Boracay, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa; and four (4) international destinations namely Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Tokyo (Narita).
“We remain committed to continue supporting the growth of North Luzon and look forward to ramping up our network in this key hub once demand picks up,” added Shau.
CEB currently flies thrice weekly between Clark and Cebu.
CEB and its wholly-owned subsidiary Cebgo, operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines, on top of its extensive international network that spans across Asia and the Middle East. Its 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters.
