Mayor Lazatin kicks off 3rd year of school supplies distribution for Day Care students

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has officially kicked off the third year of the school supplies distribution program for Day Care students, starting on June 16, 2025, and continuing until June 27.
A total of 492 students from seven Day Care centers received complete school kits consisting of shoes, socks, t-shirts, and backpacks with school supplies, all provided for free by the city government.

Mayor Lazatin personally led the distribution at eight Day Care centers: Sapalibutad Day Care Center, Sapalibutad I, and Sapalibutad II; Pulung Cacutud Day Care Center, Epza I, and Epza II; and Cutud Day Care Center and Northville 15 Day Care Center.

“Every Angeleño child deserves to be ready for school,” Lazatin said. “This program ensures that our youngest learners have the tools they need — from school bags to shoes — even before they step into the classroom.”
The initiative is carried out under the supervision of Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, with assistance from the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO), headed by Irish Bonus-Llego, and the City Nutrition Office led by Francis De Guzman.

Distribution to remaining Day Care centers throughout the city will be completed by the end of June.

The program, first launched in 2023, reflects Mayor Lazatin’s ongoing commitment to early childhood education. Since then, 6,694 Day Care students have benefited from the initiative.
