Pampanga Governor-Elect Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led an inspection of the newly completed facility together with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido Estudillo Laguesma, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary M. Jose Francisco Benitez, and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President Agnes Devanadera on Wednesday,  May 28, 2025.

Pineda emphasized that the hospital will offer comprehensive and specialized healthcare services to residents of Pampanga and neighboring communities. She added that aside from serving local communities, the facility is also expected to benefit more than 100,000 workers within the Clark Freeport Zone.

“Naisip namin ni Gov na kailangan talaga ng mga workers ng government hospital kasi lahat ng nakapaligid ay private so kung yung sweldo po minimum hindi nila kakayanin kaya pinatayo namin ito para makatulong,” she said.

The project was originally initiated in 2018 during her final term, and was later continued under the leadership of her son, Dennis “Delta” Pineda, who assumed the governorship in 2019.

A total of P465 million was spent on the construction of the hospital, with support from the Department of Health (DOH), which contributed P100 million; the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), which provided P160 million; and the provincial government, which allocated P205 million.

The provincial government also allocated an additional P158 million for the procurement of initial medical equipment to be installed in the hospital.

The hospital stands on a 9,259-square meter lot located in Changi Gateway, Clark Global City, made available through a usufruct agreement with the CDC.

The hospital has been constructed in line with the Department of Health’s requirements for Level II hospitals, ensuring that it will provide high-quality services with adequate staffing and medical capabilities.

Once operational, the three-storey Clark Provincial Hospital will offer a total of 143 beds, including 17 private rooms, 16 semi-private rooms, and 110 ward beds. It will provide full clinical services, diagnostic and ancillary procedures, as well as support and administrative operations.

This facility will be the first government hospital established inside the Clark Freeport Zone and is set to be fully operational on the fourth quarter of the year.
