Cong Pogi visits senior citizens in Pampanga First District

PAMPANGA — Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., who is currently running for Pampanga First District Representative, is set to visit 322 senior citizens in Mabalacat City and 247 senior citizens in Magalang Municipality — starting with 26 senior citizens in Barangay San Isidro, Magalang on March 18, 2025.

Lazatin will conduct the visits to deliver his personal assistance of Vitamin C, five kilos of rice, groceries, financial assistance of P 1,000, and free conduct of complete blood works via a mobile clinic.

As Mayor of Angeles City, Lazatin is no stranger to house-to-house visits to senior citizens, having conducted personal visits to senior citizens aged 90 to 99 years old in Angeles City annually since he assumed office in 2019.

When Lazatin declared his candidacy on June 28, 2024, he vowed to bring the same kind of service he delivered in Angeles City to Mabalacat City and Magalang Municipality.

In September last year, Lazatin also delivered his personal donations of school supplies to day care students in Mabalacat and Magalang. Some 3,063 day care students in Mabalacat and 1,777 day care students in Magalang each received a tote bag with a set of school supplies, including crayons, notebooks, pencil, eraser, sharpener, and writing pad. Lazatin also gave five kilos of rice to the parents of each day care student.

On July 23 and 24 of the same year, Lazatin also took part in the nationwide Brigada Eskwela 2024 in Mabalacat and Magalang. 60 schools in Mabalacat City and 27 schools in Magalang Town received 40 liters of paint and 10 sacks of cement each, personally donated by Lazatin out of his own pocket.

Participating and donating in the Brigada Eskwela has been a yearly tradition for Lazatin ever since he first became a Councilor in Angeles City back in 2013.
