Construction of 7-storey RLMMC now at 70%
ANGELES CITY — The construction of the seven-storey new Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center, formerly known as Ospital Ning Angeles, is now at 70% and will continue to be in full swing.
Thus, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said during his 5th State of the City Address on June 24, 2024 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Legislative Building.
The new Level 2 RLMMC will be inaugurated in October 2024 to better serve Angeleños.
With the influx of patients admitted and treated in the government-owned RLMMC, with a total of 127,700 in 2022 and 136,169 in 2023, Mayor Lazatin understands the need for its improvement and thus is of utmost priority.
The city government, according to Lazatin, procured a total of P200 million in medical equipment, and P10 million in office equipment for the soon-to-rise hospital building.
The new hospital will accommodate more patients with its 120-bed capacity.
Ever since Mayor Lazatin took office in 2019, accessible public health services has been among his top priority programs.
