Site inspection of city’s dog pound

Upon the instruction of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on February 13, 2023 conducted an ocular inspection at the newly-constructed Angeles City Dog Pound to ensure its readiness for its inauguration this month.

Calaguas and Manuel were joined by City Engineer Donato Dizon during the inspection.

Mayor Lazatin continues to provide programs for the welfare of animals.

In fact, the Lazatin administration continues to provide free spaying and neutering of pets in the city.

Calaguas and Manuel, both known animal lovers and rescuers, continue to push for the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) accreditation of the city’s dog pound.

Once accredited, the City Veterinary Office will be in charge of accrediting backyard breeders.

“Dahil sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng ating Dog Pound, mas marami tayong hayop na maalagaan at matutulungan,” Calaguas said.
