DTI urges Tarlac Agri U students to engage in entrepreneurship

TARLAC CITY — About 200 students and faculty members of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) attended a Seminar on the Importance of e-Commerce in Today’s Time conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

This is part of the agency’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP).

DTI Tarlac Senior Trade-Industry Specialist Ana Marie Tabamo said YEP aims to address the young demographics to become productive individuals through entrepreneurship by means of comprehensive package interventions.

“We are all familiar with the statement, ‘start them young,’ It is very important to hone these student entrepreneurs while they are still young and eager to learn,” Tabamo added.

YEP with its tagline “HOORAY” which stands for Harnessing Our Own Resources for the Advancement of the Youth, is a public-private partnership directed towards assisting youth in realizing their full potential to becoming successful entrepreneurs.

DTI will assist aspirants from creation to development of their businesses through their services.
