Bale Pusu resident reunites with daughter after 26 years

REUNITED. Anastacia Malquista finally reunites with her mother Teresita Alvarez after 26 years, after the Angeles City Government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. instructed City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso to bring Alvarez home in Zambales. Alvarez has been staysming at the city’s Bale Pusu home for the homeless elderly.

ANGELES CITY – A woman who has been staying at this city’s Bale Pusu for four months has finally been reunited with her daughter in Zambales, after 26 years of being away from her family.

Kaya nagulat po kami ng ibalita sa amin ang tungkol sa kanya,” shared Anastacia Malquista, daughter of Teresita Alvarez, 67, who was rescued from the streets by the city government in September last year.

Alvarez was taken home to daughter in Zambales with the assistance of the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso, on February 16, 2022.

Alvarez is the second resident at Bale Pusu.

The Bale Pusu, home for the female homeless elderly, was inaugurated on September 2021, a flagship program of Mayor Lazatin, supervised by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
