AC to join national vax day on Feb 14-17
ANGELES CITY – The city government here is set to join the four-day national vaccination day on February 14 to 17, 2022 to inoculate unvaccinated Angeleños, as well as non-residents, in a bid towards herd immunity.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. shared that the vaccination site at the City College of Angeles will accommodate all walk-in residents and non-residents who want to receive the first dose and second dose of the vaccine.
At the same time, we could help neighboring towns and cities in their vaccination drive,” Lazatin said.
The city government, with its 400-strong vaccination team led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, is confident that it is ready and equipped for the national vaccination days.
City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, who is manning the medical side of the vaccination program, reiterated that the city government is continuously receiving enough supplies of vaccines from the National Vaccination Operation Center.
To date, 356,430 Angeleños already received their first dose of vaccines; 331,882 are fully vaccinated; and 52,325 got their booster shots.
