CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Various government and media institutions and organizations in Central Luzon have teamed up for a series of townhall assemblies featuring candidates in the 2022 National and Local Elections.

The Forum Central Luzon (TFCL) will be led by Mabalacat City College (MCC) in partnership with Pampanga Press Club, Metro Angeles City Journalists Association, CLTV 36, GNN 44 and Philippine Information Agency Region 3.

MCC President Michelle Aguilar-Ong said TFCL is an initiative to promote voters’ education and serve as an avenue to address various issues and concerns affecting the nation, especially the region.

“MCC and our partners in the media saw the need to fill the gap between the voting population and their May 2022 preferences. That is why we are offering the microphones of this program to all political aspirants to resonate their development agenda for the nation and the region for the next few years,” she added.

“In the same way, their engagement and performance in the program are seen to raise voters’ knowledge and awareness which will help them gauge the capabilities of these aspirants vying for the 2022 polls. It will also serve as a viable campaign platform given the pandemic scenario and government restrictions on in-person campaigning,” Aguilar-Ong furthered.

TFCL is set to premiere this third week of February and will be livestreamed every Wednesday at 7:00PM in the official Facebook page of MCC. It will be simulcast on television via CLTV 36 and GNN 44.

The program will be hosted and moderated by veteran broadcaster-columnist Jay Pelayo IV, Legal Counsel for local government units Tanya Lingat, and renowned academician Michael Mesa.
