CDC sets anew stringent measures vs Covid-19
CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has set stricter measures anew to prevent further spread of COVID-19 inside the Freeport.
CDC President and CEO Manuel Gaerlan said they issued an advisory that aims to limit gatherings and activities in Clark in the light of increasing Covid-19 cases and threat of the Omicron variant.
Social gatherings of three or more individuals are prohibited within the Clark Parade grounds, open areas, and other parks in the Freeport.
Also, only those vaccinated against Covid-19 are allowed to do individual physical activities such as biking, walking, and jogging.
Gaerlan said these measures are set as precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their stakeholders.
“The public is enjoined to cooperate and exercise self-restraint as CDC endeavors to keep Clark free from Covid and maintain vibrancy of businesses in the zone,” he said.
Minors who are not qualified for vaccination are also strictly prohibited within the zone.
Meanwhile, tourism-related establishments in Clark were also directed to only accept fully-vaccinated individuals at 50 percent capacity for indoors and 70 percent capacity for outdoors.
CDC also urged its workers, locators, and visitors to remain vigilant and to keep adhering to minimum health standards with the emergence of the Omicron strain in the Philippines.
It also reiterated the importance of wearing face masks, proper hand washing, and physical distancing to prevent the spread of the virus.
Other standard health protocols issued by the Inter Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases will still be applied.
