Lazatin launches 24/7 telemedicine hotline, free doctor consultation for Angeleños
ANGELES CITY — This city now has a telemedicine hotline that Angeleños can access for free 24/7 via phone calls and Facebook Messenger.
According to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., the free consultation intended for medical concerns of COVID-19 patients who are currently at home isolation or quarantine will be manned by the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center personnel led by Dr. Froilan Canlas.
The city government’s task force has adopted the Department of Health’s home quarantine guidelines for individuals who are either fully vaccinated or not through Resolution Nos. 02 and 03.
Under the said guidelines, COVID-19 patients who are either fully vaccinated or not may be allowed to undergo home isolation with assessment conducted by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams.
Mayor Lazatin said this would be a great of help to Angeleños who are at their treatment stage, having a reliable partner for recovery.
“Napakaimportante po nito, dahil sa ganitong paraan updated po tayo sa nagiging sitwasyon ng ating mga kababayan sa pagpapagaling laban sa COVID-19,” Lazatin furthered.
“Mas matuturuan at matutulungan po sila ng mga doktor natin kung ano ang mga dapat o hindi dapat na gawin habang nagpapagaling,” Lazatin said.
The hotlines are 0915 927 0554; 0915 927 0549; 0915 927 0510; 0915 927 0512; 0969 061 9531; 0969 061 9532; 0969 061 9578; and 0969 061 9535.
Dr. Canlas meanwhile said that patients could also reach the telemed via online, through the Facebook Messenger account RLMMC Tele Med.
“While vaccines are available already, may risk pa rin po sa virus, kaya dobleng pag-iingat pa rin po ang kailangan. Unang-una po ang pagsunod sa mga safety health protocols natin,” Canlas said.
“We are just doing everything we can to contain the spread of the virus, especially now with new variants entering the country,” Canlas explained.
To recall, Angeles City is one of the Local Government Units then to establish a 24/7 Covid-19 hotline for report, response, and extraction, manned by the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
