Flood control structures along Camiling River finished
TARLAC CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the construction of five flood control structures along various sections of Camiling River in Tarlac.
Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said the newly-built flood mitigation structures have a total length of 2,166-lineal meter.
They were built in the Surgui 1st-Cacamilingan Sur, Telbang-Tuec, and Cacamilingan Norte-Tambugan.
Also, in the Cayaoan and Bilad Sections of the Camiling River.
“Several barangays of Camiling are known to be highly-susceptible to flooding the reason why the DPWH has focused on building infrastructures designed to prevent or mitigate flood-related disasters,” Farala
P320 million was earmarked for these projects.
