ANGELES CITY – Some 1,316 employees at the city government here — 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual — received their ₱6,000 Service Recognition Incentive on Dec. 28, 2021.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said this is in recognition of the hard work and service of the employees amid the pandemic.
“Binibigay lamang po natin sa kanila ang nararapat. If not for their service, hindi po natin kakayanin,” Lazatin said.
This is the fifth incentive released for the employees since November, as per Memorandum No. 1380 ordered by Mayor Lazatin.
Among the cash incentives released are the year-end bonus last November 15; ₱3,000 year-end gratuity of 2,959 Contract of Service employees last Dec. 7; the ₱6,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement for the 1,316 employees last Dec. 14; and the ₱5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive bonus last Dec. 21, 2021.
Flordeliza Santos, Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA) President, thanked the administration of Mayor Lazatin on behalf of the city government workers in “setting the bar high when it comes to taking care of the employees.”
“Sa ngalan po ng mga empleyado ng city hall, kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa walang humpay na biyaya mula kay Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.,” Santos said.
Meanwhile, all city government employees working in the vaccination team will also get an extra ₱5,000 cash incentive.
