CLARK FREEPORT – Some 1,299 Aeta residents from Sitio Monicayo in Barangay Calumpang, Barangay Marcos Village and Barangay Macapagal Village in Mabalacat City recently received immunization against COVID-19 in a series of vaccination activities organized by Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

The said Aetas were given their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the Clark Vaccination Team led by Dr. Jenna De Leon Sison and Dr. Justine Flavier.

They were joined and assisted by nurses Jonalyn Garcia, Mae Daes, Darwin Garcia, Paul Siasico, and Ricky Manaloto.

Barangay Kagawad Ruby Queddeng and other barangay officials also supported the said initiative of CDC in order to reach more Aeta communities nearby.

Meanwhile, immunizations were given to workers and residents in this Freeport and its surrounding communities as part of the National Vaccination Day which took place from November 29 to December 1, 2021.

The vaccination activities were organized by the CDC Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) in collaboration with the CDC Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division (CSRPD) and the Mabalacat City Local Government Unit (LGU).

The CDC HSD Team will also be conducting pediatric vaccination at Barangay Macapagal Village on December 7, 2021 to immunize more children who are also vulnerable to COVID-19.

Prior to this, CDC has initially launched the “#TurukanSaClark” immunization drive held at the Comercio Central Park, Clark Polytechnic Hall, and Alpha Aviation Group’s Gym in Clark.

The state-owned firm hopes to conduct more inoculation activities in the future to vaccinate more people and to attain herd immunity in this Freeport and its neighboring communities.
