DPWH completes improvement works at Porac section of road

ANGELES CITY – The P29-million asphalt overlay project at the 1.247-kilometer portion of the Angeles-Porac-Floridablanca-Dinalupihan Road has been finished ahead of schedule, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Pampanga 2nd District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. said more than 7,000 vehicles pass through the road daily and traffic load is one of the reasons for the deterioration of the road pavement.

“Our office maintains the 28.34-kilometer segment of this secondary road that connects Angeles City in Pampanga and Dinalupihan in Bataan,” he shared.

The asset preservation project involves the application of bituminous concrete overlay in which the appropriate thickness was determined to accommodate the additional traffic loads hence extending pavement life and provide a good driving surface.

Reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings were also installed to ensure road safety and smooth flow of traffic.
